Chris On the Issues
Jobs & the Economy
Burbank's unemployment rate hit 6.9% in early 2026, well above both LA County and state averages. Chris's plan, Burbank Jobs First, creates a city-run jobs portal connecting Burbank residents directly to Burbank employers, with real incentives for small businesses that hire locally.
Housing & Affordability
Currently, Burbank only requires 15% of new construction high-rise units to be "affordable." Chris will fight to raise that percentage to something meaningful, lower the barrier of entry to home ownership and regulate the purchasing of single-family homes from big developers.
Public Safety
Chris believes safe neighborhoods and a thriving local economy go hand in hand. He supports fully funding Burbank's police and fire departments, investing in community engagement programs, and exploring mental health co-responder models for appropriate calls, so every resident gets the right response when they need help.
Downtown Parking
Chris supports smart parking management, but punishing people for going out is not smart, it is shortsighted. He will push to removethe meters in downtown Burbank and design quick pick-up, drop-off locations that serve our small businesses and ease parking stress for patrons.
Supporting Small Business
Small businesses are the backbone of what makes Burbank special. Chris plans to reduce red tape, cut unnecessary permitting, fill our 22.5% vacant office buildings, and make sure the city's economic development resources are accessible to the small operators who need them the most.
Schools & Education
Burbank suffers from limited afterschool programs, financial scandals, lack of funding, and not enough teachers. Chris has a thorough plan to inject money into the school system, hire more teachers, increase afterschool programming and invite our residents to be a voice in the process.
Backing Our Veterans
As a veteran, Chris knows what it means to serve and come home. He will advocate for a dedicated city contact point for veterans navigating services, housing, and employment, and make sure Burbank offers a hiring pathway, so no veteran in Burbank has to figure it out alone.
The Starlight Bowl
The Starlight Bowl belongs to Burbank residents and visitors, not consultants and private operators. Chris supports repairs done by local unions, not $700k paydays for "consultants." Chris is dedicated to working with our local artists to create something not only beautiful, but job-creating.
